Enable ETI Trading on IBKR

Step-by-step guide to trade AMC0CF on Interactive Brokers

TL;DR

To trade AMC0CF or other ETI AMC (Actively Managed Certificate) on Börse Stuttgart via IBKR you only need two things:

  1. Enable the right trading permissions in Client Portal
  2. Know how to search the ETI (AMC0CF / ISIN DE000AMC0CF5) in TWS or Client Portal

1. What You Need on IBKR

To buy the ETI AMC0CF (iMaps Tactical Momentum ETI) on Interactive Brokers, IBKR expects you to have these product permissions:

  • Warrants - with Germany selected (under Europe)
  • Options - Level 4 - with Germany selected (under Europe)
  • Index Options - with Germany selected (under Europe)
  • Complex or Leveraged Exchange Traded Products - with Germany selected (under Europe)

This combo is exactly what iMaps themselves list for buying ETIs via IBKR, and IBKR's own partners confirm that warrants/certificates require both Warrants, Options Level 4, and Complex or Leveraged ETPs.

Checklist for AMC0CF

Product permissions required:

  • Warrants
  • Options (Level 4)
  • Index Options
  • Complex or Leveraged Exchange-Traded Products

Region/market: Germany must be selected for each of these products (found under "Europe" in IBKR Trading Permissions)

Note: You do not need any special "ETI" flag - IBKR treats this as a structured certificate listed on Börse Stuttgart (EUWAX) under WKN AMC0CF / ISIN DE000AMC0CF5.

2. Turn On the Right Permissions in IBKR Client Portal

Step 1 - Open Trading Permissions

  1. Log in to your IBKR Client Portal in a browser
  2. Click the user icon (head/shoulders) in the top right
  3. Go to Settings → Trading → Trading Permissions
  4. This opens the Trading Experience & Permissions screen showing all products and countries

Step 2 - Request Product Permissions

In the Trading Permissions panel, scroll through the product list and, for your main IBKR entity, make sure the following are requested/approved. For each product, ensure you tick Europe → Germany as a region/market:

  • Warrants - enable and tick Europe → Germany in the region/market list
  • Options - click Options Level and choose Level 4 (or the highest level IBKR offers you), and include Europe → Germany
  • Index Options - enable and include Europe → Germany
  • Complex or Leveraged Exchange Traded Products - click Request, accept the risk disclosure, and include Europe → Germany

After each change click Save / Continue, sign any disclosures, and submit. IBKR may review your request before activating the permissions.

Notes:

  • IBKR might ask you a short experience & objectives questionnaire when you request Options Level 4 or Complex/Leveraged ETPs
  • If you don't see Levels 1-4 (for Canada/India accounts), you still need Options plus Warrants and Complex or Leveraged ETPs; IBKR just shows it differently for those entities

3. How to Find AMC0CF and Place an Order

3.1 In Trader Workstation (TWS)

Step 3 - Launch TWS and Search by ISIN

  1. Open TWS and log in
  2. In a watchlist row or the main quote line, type DE000AMC0CF5 or AMC0CF and press Enter
  3. When the selection window pops up, choose the listing on Börse Stuttgart / EUWAX (SWB)
  4. The ETI will appear as a new line in your watchlist or quote monitor

Step 4 - Place the Order

  1. Click on the Buy side of the quote, or use the Order Entry panel with the AMC0CF line selected
  2. Set the quantity, order type (usually Limit), and time-in-force
  3. Click Transmit / Buy to send the order

3.2 In Client Portal (Web) or IBKR Mobile

  • In Client Portal: Use the search bar at the top, type DE000AMC0CF5 or AMC0CF, select the instrument on Stuttgart (EUWAX), then click Buy and fill the order ticket
  • In IBKR Mobile: Tap the Search icon, enter DE000AMC0CF5, select the Stuttgart listing, then tap Buy

If permissions are correctly enabled, you should see a trade ticket and not just static quote data.

4. Using the Direct IBKR Link

When you click the "Open AMC0CF on IBKR" button on our strategy pages, we send you to the IBKR quote page for AMC0CF in the Client Portal:

https://www.interactivebrokers.co.uk/portal/#/quote/810119711
  • If your IBKR account has the correct trading permissions (Warrants, Options Level 4, Index Options and Complex/Leveraged ETPs) you will see a Buy/Sell button on that quote page and can submit an order directly
  • If the button is missing or greyed out, IBKR is telling you that permissions or eligibility are not sufficient yet - go back to the Trading Permissions screen and re-check Step 2

5. Troubleshooting

If you can't see AMC0CF at all

  • Double-check you typed DE000AMC0CF5 correctly
  • Make sure Warrants and Complex or Leveraged Exchange Traded Products permissions are approved (not just requested)
  • Confirm that Germany / Europe is included in the country list for those products

If IBKR rejects the order

  • Most often it is because IBKR has not yet approved:
    • Options Level 4, or
    • Complex / Leveraged ETPs
  • Re-open Settings → Trading → Trading Permissions and check the status
  • If everything looks green but you still cannot trade, open an IBKR support ticket and ask:
"Is WKN AMC0CF / ISIN DE000AMC0CF5 tradeable for my account, and which trading permissions are missing?"
